Abstract:The Heishilazi iron deposit, which lies between Donganshan iron mine and Dagushan iron mine in Anshan, Liaoning Province, is a large iron deposit of Anshan type found in Anshan-Benxi area recently. The Ⅱ -1 ore body is the major industrial one, with length of over 2000 m, horizontal thickness of more than 100 m and controlled depth of about 2000 m. The useful minerals are mainly magnetite and hematite. The grade is steady in strike and vertically, but the FeO content gradually increases with the increasing of the depth. The chemical and mineral components are simple, with less deleterious impurities and low ratio of horse-rocks. All these indicate that the ore deposit belongs to sedimentary-metamorphic iron deposit of Anshan type.
