Abstract：Iron ore is a kind of unrecreatable resources. Long-term mining results in a series of environment problems which affect the development of our society, economy and regional environment. This paper expounds the geologic environment of Gongchangling iron mine from four aspects: damages of landform, pollution of solid, liquid, gaseous wastes, soil and water loss and geologic hazard. The prevention measures are brought forward.
