Abstract:The Zhualazhaga gold deposit is situated in the Meso-Neoproterozoic Bayinnuoergong depression belt, at the NS-trending axis of anticline and in the southern part of NNW-trending fault. The ores occur in the first member of Agulugou Formation, Jixian System, Mesoproterozoic Erathem. The deposit is of magmatic hydrothermal altered rock type. With study on the regional tectonic evolution, and structural and magmatic rock control, it is concluded that the ore-controlling factor of Zhulazhaga gold deposit is the interlayer-gliding fracture zone derived from E-W-trending reverse thrust, which is closely related with Variscan igneous activity. The study also shows that the geological conditions on the northeastern area are similar to those of the Zhulazhaga gold deposit, suggesting that it should be the target for exploration.
