Abstract:The Yalujiang fault zone is a branch the Tan-Lu giant fault zone, which crosses eastern China. Its dynamic mechanism is the collision between the Pacific plate and Eurasian plate during Yanshanian period. The shearing movement forms a series of NE-trending sinistral crustal fractures, in depth about 4 km, with maximal left displacement more than 20 km. The geological structural characteristics on both sides of the major fault are comparable.
