Abstract：The Xifeng mineralization zone, tectonically located in the south of Jihei fold system on the southern margin of Bureya-Zhangguangcailing granite belt, belongs to Fuanpu-Daheishan molybdenum metallogenic belt, with frequent Indosinian-Yanshanian magmatic activities, developed NE- and NE-trending structures and widely distributed Mo deposits. Base on a detailed discussion on the geology, geochemistry and the characteristics of typical deposits, the author analyzes and evaluates the metallogenic prospect for molybdenum in the area.
