Abstract:Based on the geological, geochemical and drilling data about the exploration license No. 2298 in Northern Territory of Australia, the ore-forming geological conditions such as strata and structure are obtained. According to comprehensive research of the geological conditions, the mineral deposit model for EL2298 is sandstone-shale-type of copper deposit, with objective mineral of copper. The exploration should include geological survey, IP intermediate gradient, IP sounding, trenching and drilling. The geological characteristics of deposit suggest good ore-forming geological conditions and prospecting potential for EL2298. It is theoretically and practically possible to find sandstone-shale-type of copper deposit in EL2298.
