APPLICATION OF THE INTEGRATIVE PROSPECTING MODEL IN THE DEEP OF BAIJIAN IRON DEPOSIT IN HEBEI PROVINCE

Abstract:After a comprehensive analysis of the favorable conditions for iron deposits in Han-Xing area in Hebei Province, the integrative prospecting model is established. The model integrates the information of stratigraphy, structure, magmatic rocks, wallrock alteration and magnetic anomaly to reassess the Baijian iron deposit in the deep. Prediction shows that a deeply buried, large scale, high grade iron deposit of Han-Xing type exists in Baijian orefield. The result was verified by the filed work form 2006 to 2010, making the Baijian iron deposit the largest of contact metasomatic type in Han-Xing area. The integrated prospecting model realizes a breakthrough for the deep exploration of Baijian iron deposit and is proved successful.
