Abstract:With a total analysis on Cd, As, Pb, Zn, Cu, Hg, Cr and other heavy metal elements in the Papana venosa body from the shallow sea of northern Liaotong Bay, the distribution characteristics of the heavy metal elements and their relation to its growing environment are studied. The result shows that the Papana venosa tends to absorb and reserve heavy metal elements, and is greatly affected by its growing environment. In the sea area where the contents of heavy metal elements in bottom mud, seawater and suspension are high, the content of those is high in the Papana venosa body as well.
