Abstract:The Shuangxi vanadium deposit in Guzhang County, Hunan Province occurs in Lower Cambrian Muchang formation, which is composed of the black rock series rich in organic Si, P and C. The content of V2O5 in the ore ranges from 0.61% to 1.51%. The ore rocks can be divided into three types, i.e.black carbonaceous-siliceous rockshale, phosphatic nodule-bearing shale and shale. The occurrences of vanadium are mainly in adsorption and isomorphism states. Study on diagenesis and metallogenesis shows that the Shuangxi vanadium deposit is formed by the syndepositon of submarine exhalative hydrothermal solution.
