Abstract:Sandaoling iron deposit in Liaoyang, Liaoning Province is a lately explored lean iron deposit of Anshan type. Study on its technological mineralogy indicates that the ore is mainly protogenic lean magnetite iron ore type. Its chemical composition is simple, with high silicon, low Fe, Mg and Al and lower deleterious impurities of S and P, belonging to typical sedimentary metamorphic magnetic quartzite of Anshan type. The major useful mineral is magnetite, whose dissemination feature is mainly of poecilitic and intergrowth. Granularity analysis shows that the useful mineral is mainly of coarse grain, which is suitable for mineral processing.
