Abstract:Rich geothermal resources are hosted in the Meso-Cenozoic basins in Liaoning Province. The geothermal fields are broadly distributed, with stable thermal reservoir horizons and high geotemperature. The water-rich host rocks contain large geothermal energy resources, with a great exploration potential. The geothermal in the deep of the basins can be divided into four sections, i.e. 1) the shallow buried reservoir at the basement upwarping; 2) the deeply buried reservoir at the block raising; 3) the ultra-deep reservoir at the center of basin; and 4) the transitional section of low-middle temperature disturbed by cold water.
