Abstract:A sensitive colour reaction takes place between three-bromine arsenazo and rare earth elements in HC1 of 1.0 mol/L, forming stable complexes. Thus three-bromine arsenazo can be used as a color reagent to test the amount of REE in the photometry method. The analysis for two standard samples shows the precisions of 2.82% and 2.57%, and theaccuracies of -2.34% and -5.82% respectively. The method is satisfactorily applied in analysis for ores.
