Abstract Specimens were systematically collected in Jarud Qi area to test the density, magnetic susceptibility, residual magnetism and resistivity of rocks. With process and statistic of the physical properties of strata and rocks in the area, a columnar section is established. Based on analysis of the physical characteristics, the physical interfaces of strata and rocks are identified. The complement and enrichment of the physical data would support the subsequent non-seismic geophysical explanation in the study area.
