Abstract The Huanren skarn-type polymetallic deposit is controlled by the skarn in the contact zone between Cambrian limestone and diorite complex body. It is characterized by complicated mineral compositions and ore fabrics, intensive wall-rock alteration and distinct mineralization zoning. With classification of rock types, test of metal elements and other geologic characteristics, the regularity of the horizontal and vertical zonation of the ore bodies and rocks is analyzed. The spatial occurrence of different metal elements is particularly studied in detail. On this basis, the metallogenic law of the deposit is summed up, which makes a theoretical preparation for the prospecting in deep and outer areas.
