Abstract In the research of microfacies of Huoshaoshan oil field, it is found that there exist two or three facies in each stratigraphic layer, but only one can be identified by traditional method, which is inexact and influential to the veracity of reservoir parameter modelization. In order to resolve the problem, we establish a facies distribution model in tridimensional space. Controlled by this microfacies, the tridimensional model of parameter is more exact. The sequence indication method for modelization is applied in the area.
