Abstract The stratigraphic sequences of Dexing-Tongchang block belong to the tectonosedimentary domains of Huaiyu terrane.Gold deposits occur in Hanyuan formation of Midde Proterozoic.The ore-controlling structure is NEE-trending ductile shear zone and superimposed layer-slipping cataclastic zone.The main types of ores are altered mylonitic and quartz vein ones.The favourable prospecting districts are the strong strain ductile shear zones which are superimposed by cataclasting.
