Abstract:The Jiuzhanggou gold deposit is tectonically in the located in the northwest of Waifangshan fault uplift of HuaXiong block on the south margin of North China platform, with developed fault structures and intense magmatism. The alteration rock gold deposit is the main gold type. The orebodies occur as veins, with ores in dissemination, veinletdissemination, vein-stockworks and honeycomb styles. The alternations involve mainly silicification, sericitization, kaolinization and carbonation. Based on the geological background, geological characteristics and ore-controlling factors of the investigated area, the prospecting criteria are summed up.
