Abstract The section of Tan-Lu fault zone in northern Liaoning Province, as a part of Yilan-Yitong fault zone, is actually the regional northward extension of the Tan-Lu fault zone. The NE-trending Triassic left-lateral ductile shear zone is discovered during the regional geological survey in 1:50000 scale. The ductile shear zone controls the distribution of a series of Triassic intrusive rocks and reforms the extension of Paleozoic geologic bodies.
