Abstract The Bainaimiao copper deposit is situated in the E-W-trending hidden Bainaimiao great deep fault belt between the Chahanaobao fold bundle and Bainaimiao fold-fault bundle. The Nos. Ⅳ, Ⅴ and Ⅵ ore blocks of the deposit occur in the green schist of the 5th rock member, Bainaimiao formation, Qingbaikou system, Neoproterozoic. The orebodies are controlled by NW-trending faults and strata, distributed in stratoid or lenticular shapes. The Cu mineralization is related to silicification, biotitization and sericitization. The genesis of the deposit is marine volcanic gas-liquid superimposing subvolcanic hydrothermal type.
