Abstract By summarizing the general situation of society, physical geography, geology and mineral resources in the Republic of Mozambique, the paper introduces the development status of ilmenite-zircon placer by Chinese-invested and other enterprises, and analyzes the investment environment from the aspects of economic-trade interaction, cooperation foundation of geological survey organizations between China and Mozambique, foreign investment situation and investment conditions. The results show that Mozambique is rich in resources of ilmenite-zircon placer, with favorable investment environment and good involvement of Chinese enterprises. It is suggested that the two countries continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation to serve "The Belt and Road" construction.
