CONSTRUCTION OF GROUNDWATER RESERVOIR IN THE COASTAL VALLEYS OF LIAONING PROVINCE

Abstract:Based on the classification of the groundwater storage in the coastal valleys of Liaoning, the feasibility of the construction of groundwater reservoir in the major coastal valley areas is studied from the aspects of underground structure, boundary conditions, capacity and supply source of the storage space. With analysis on the key elements for the construction of groundwater reservoirs, it is concluded that the coastal valley areas with Liugu River, Xingcheng River, Fuzhou River and Dengsha River fulfill the basic requirement.
