65 THE LITHOSTRATIGRAPHIC CHARACTERISTICS OF YIXIAN FORMATION IN BEIPIAO-YIXIAN AREA,LIAONING PROVINCE
ZHANG Li-dong, GUO Sheng-zhe, ZHANG Chang-jie, PENG Yan-dong, JIA Bin, CHEN Shu-wang, XING De-he, DING Qiu-hong, ZHENG Yue-juan
The Yixian formation in Beipiao-Yixian area, Liaoning Province includes a series of volcanic-sedimentary strata with volcanic rocks more than 80%, involving four volcanic subcycles. The first subcycle is characterized by basic-alkalescent basic and intermediate-basic volcanism;the second is marked by acid and intermediate-basic volcanism;the third shows intermediate-basic volcanism;and the fourth is noted for acid-intermediate volcanism. The volcanic-sedimentary strata of Yixian formation include at least 7 sedimentary intercalations, which may be further merged into four beds, i.e.the basal conglomerate bed, the sedimentary interbed in lower volcanic rocks, the middle sedimentary bed of lacustrine facies, and the upper sedimentary bed of fluvial and lacustrine facies. The organic fossils of sedimentary strata are concentrated mainly in three beds.By summing up the cyclicity, rock association and occurrence of volcanic rocks with their overlying and underlying contact relations and forming environment, and concerning the research results of isotope chronology and biostratigraphy, the Yixian formation of the working area may be subdivided into four members. The isotopic dating data show that the Yixian formation should be Early Cretaceous in age, formed 135-120 Ma ago, and the sedimentary beds of lacustrine facies, containing precious fossils, such as Sinosauropteryx, Confuciusornis, Archaefructus liaoningensis etc., formed 125-127 Ma ago.

75 FINITE STRAIN ANALYSIS OF THE LINGYUAN-BEIPIAO FAULT ZONE IN WEST LIAONING PROVINCE AND ITS GEOLOGICAL SIGNIFICANCE
WANG Wen-wu, WU Guang, WANG Hong-bo
Lingyuan-Beipiao fault zone is an important structural zone, which makes up the boundary of Inner Mongolia geological axis and Yanshan platform folding zone. The fault controls not only geotectonic framework but also Mesozoic-Cenozoic fault basins in West Liaoning. This paper reconstructs strain history of the Lingyuan-Beipiao fault zone by means of three-dimensional finite strain analysis, and estimates its differential paleostress. The study shows that the stress of the fault zone is an intermediate type of stretching strain and plane strain. The longest principal axis of strain had two azimuths of NW-SE and NE-SW, which showed that the fault had two obvious different types of strain states. The longest principal axis of strain, which was formed in the second phase of Yanshanian movement and earlier, is in NW-SE azimuth. The longest principal axis of strain, formed in the period of Mesozoic fault basins, is in NE SW azimuth. The differential paleostress of the fault is 32.7 MPa, which is estimated by the density of dislocation. The fault was formed in Proterozoic, and superimposed and transformed by Liaohe, Yanliao and Indosinian movements, with a complicated history of deformation. The second phase of Yanshanian movement established the geotectonic framework of West Liaoning with the final pattern.

80 THE HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL VARYING OF MINERLIZATION IN GULIKU GOLD (-SILVER) DEPOSIT
ZHU Qun, WANG En-de, LI Zhi-tong, YANG Fang-lin
Guliku gold (-silver) deposit is located at the connection of Dayangshu volcanic basin and Luomahu intermediate uplift.Based on the study of Au and Ag composition and Au/Ag ratio in ore body and mineralized wall rock, the value of Au/Ag decreased by 97% in a width of 10000 m from the northern to the southern ore bodies, but is almost free from change between 0.08 and 0.09 in the depth of 0 to 200 m.So there is a horizontal rather than a vertical gold-silver mineralizing zonation in Guliku deposit.

85 PETROLOGIC CHARACTERIZATION OF GOLD HOST ROCKS: A case study of Paishanlou Gold Mine, Liaoning Province, China
Malogo J. M. Kongola, WANG En-de, YU Ming-xu, Moustafa El Omella
Standard laboratory procedures and remote sensing techniques were employed in the characterization of gold-bearing rocks of the Paishanlou area. Results indicate that, the rocks were formed in an alteration complex of medium temperature and pressure. The area was under intense polymetamorphism (ductile shearing, and hydrothermal metamorphism), which occurred along the deformation zone stretching from Jinzhou to Fuxin. The area bears some propylitic, phyllic (or sericitic) and argillic alteration styles. Gold minerals are contained in fine-grained pyrite in silicified zones, and associated with metamorphosed Precambrian rocks. The host rock is composed of gneiss, mylonite and trondhjemite granite, and has a distinctive gold-lead geochemical affinity.

96 GENESIS OF THE MIGMATITIC GRANITE AND METALLOGENIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THE HOUXIANYU BORON OREFIELD,LIAONING PROVINCE
YANG Xiao-ming, WANG Wen-wu, XUE Wei-jiang, WANG Sheng-zhi, ZHANG Qi, JING You-guang
The Houxianyu boron ore field, tectonically located in the west end of the Yingkou-Kuandian paleo-uplift of Eastern Liaonign anteclise, North China platform, is a part of the East Liaoning-South Jilin boron metallogenic belt. The studied area is essentially covered by migmatitic granite, which was regarded as magmatic rock by previous researchers.By the study and regional comparison of the distribution, lithology, petrochemistry and geochemistry of the rock, the authors consider that the migmatitic granite is formed by sedimentary metamorphism. It is a normal metamorphic stratum, but not magmatite. There probably exist stratabound boron ore bodies beneath the rock. The drilling test has proved a buried boron ore body under the hundreds meters of thickness of the migmatitic granite, making a breakthrough in the exploration and adding the potential of prospecting in the area.

126 THE LAPLACE SOLUTION OF TERZAGHI EQUATION
ZHANG Qi, WANG Sheng-zhi, XU Da-di
The Terzaghi unidirectional consolidation differential equation has long been dominant in the soil consolidation theory and practices. Its classical solution is on the basis of the ideal boundary conditions, which do not accord with those of the common soil layers.Based on the special regularity of the unidirectional permeation and consolidation of saturated soil, this paper avoids the conditions of drainage and impermeation at the bottom boundary, in a simplified assumption for initial and boundary conditions, to find the alternative Laplace solution for the Terzaghi unidirectional consolidation differential equation.A conclusive formula about the excess hydrostatic pressure u, consolidating degree U and average consolidating degree U is obtained. The analysis and discussion on the solution by corresponding curves have concluded that the assumption for initial and boundary conditions is practical and the conclusive formula objectively reflects the regularity of soil consolidating process.
