1 STRUCTURAL TYPES AND CHARACTERISTICS OFMESOZOIC BASINS IN WESTERN LIAONING AND ITS ADJACENT AREAS
WU Guang, WANG Wu
The Western Liaoning and its adjacent areas, tectonically belonging to the inland area of the outer circum-Pacific tectonic belt, are developed with a lot of Mesozoic basins. According to the distribution of pre-Late Triassic basement, 61 basins are recognized. Based on their structural types, the basins are classified into four types, which are the depression-splitting basins, the splitting basins, the fault basins and the fault-depression basins. The depression-splitting basins were formed in Late Triassic-Middle Jurassic, and are therefore called the Early Mesozoic basins as well. The fault basins and^splitting basins, formed from Late Jurassic to the early stage of Early Cretaceous, are also called the early Late Mesozoic basins. The fault-depression type, known as the later Late Mesozoic basin, was formed between later Early Cretaceous and Late Cretaceous. The depression-splitting basins are related to the uplift and depression of paleoplate tectonics, but not to the thermal-tectonic system of the circum-Pacific deep-seated faults. The fault basins and splitting basins are closely related to the thermal-tectonic system of the circum-Pacific deep-seated faults, which strictly control the basins by the Daxinganling and Lower Liaohe-Shuangliao thermal-tectonic mole belts. The fault-depression type has a relation to the thermal-tectonic system located in the circum-Pacific rear-arc extension region.

9 STUDY ON THE PALEOECOLOGY OF YIXIAN FORMATION IN BEIPIAO AREA, WESTERN LIAONING PROVINCE, CHINA
DING Qiu-hong, ZHANG Li-dong, GUO Sheng-zhe, ZHANG Chang-jie, PENG Yan-dong, JIA Bin, CHEN Shu-wang, XING De-he
The specimens of fossil plants studied in this paper are collected from the second member of Yixian for-matiom at different fossil locastibns in Beipiao area, Western Liaoning. The "feathered" dinosaurs, primitive birds, some reptilian and insect fossils as well as early angiosperm are from the sedimentary strata of laustrine facies(2nd member of Yixian F.). Applying the theory and method of modern phytoecology, the conditon of paleoecology shown by fossil flora are analyzed and discussed. Four fossil communities are set up based on the composition characters of flora and the analysis on the ecology of taxonomic group, i.e. (1) hygrophyte from intracoastal + calcophic vegetation in shallow water:Equisetites longevaginatus + Beipiaoa spinosa Community; (2) lowland-slow-slope:Tjrmia acrodonta + Co-niopteris burejensis Community; (3) intermontane upland:Liaoningocladus boii + Baiera borealis Community; and (4) xerophyte:Pagiophyllum + Gurvanella exquisite Community. By comparing the leaf feature between Yixian flora and modem vegetation in different climatic zones, the Yixian flora indicates a subtropic-warm temperate zone with warm wetness weather. At the same time, the occurrence of deciduous Ginkgoales represents a seasonal variation of the climate. The features of xerophilous Gnetales, Bennettiales with membranous leaves and Conifersles with scaled leaves may indicate a seasonal arid or semi-arid climate condition.

19 A BRIEF STUDY ON THE GENESIS AND EVOLVEMENT RULES OF THE Hg-Sb, Pb-Zn AND Au DEPOSITS IN ZHENAN-XUNYANG AREA, SHAANXI PROVINCE
LI Yong, ZHOU Zong-gui
Zhenan-Xunyang area of Shaanxi Province is one of the main metal mineral sources in Southern Qinling Mountains. The major metal resources are Hg-Sb, Pb-Zn and Au deposits, which are different but correlative in source materials, physical-chemical conditions and the characters of mineralizing fluid. By the study on the isotopes and fluid inclusions in the area, with analysis of their geodynamics background, it shows that the source material of Pb-Zn deposits and Au deposits are both related to submarine exhalation, and the mineralization backgrounds of Hg-Sb deposits and Au deposits are the same. The deposits are related to each other, forming a genetic system from Late Paleozoic to Early Mesozoic eras in Zhenan-Xunyang area.

25 THE GEOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS AND POTENTIALITY OF CHENJIAZHANGZI GOLD DEPLSIT IN INNER MONGOLIA, CHINA
WANG Cun-xian, YANG Wen-hua, HUANG Zhan-qi
The recently discovered Chenjiazhangzi gold deposit in southern Chifeng, Inner Mongolia belongs to the cryptoexplosive breccia type related to Mesozoic magmatism-a new type in this area. The study on the characteristics of geology, geophysics and geochemistry for the deposit shows that it is a part of a porphyry gold-copper mineralizing system, in which the upper is rich in gold and the lower rich in copper. The explored ore body is only the top of the deposit while bigger gold-copper ore body existing in the deep. In addition, there are some similar cryptoexplosive breccia pipes distributed in groups or zones around the esposit. These breccia pipes are associated with geochemical anomaly, showing promising information. It is suggested that the exploration should be concentrated on the deep of the deposit to enlarge potential resources. A deposit model should be established in order to guide ore prospecting in the region. The porphyry gold-coper deposits related to the cryptoexplosive breccia should be explored according to geochemical and geophysical anomalies in the region.

32 METALLOGENIC MECHANISM OF GOLD METALLOGENICSERIES IN LATE PALEOZOIC TULASU VOLCANIC BASIN OF WESTERN TIANSHAN
JIA Bin, WU Rui-shen, TIAN Chang-lie, SHA De-ming
In Late Paleozoic Tulasu volcanic basin of Western Tianshan, the Axi gold deposit, Yiermande-Jilande gold deposit and Tawuerbieke gold deposit were formed in different types, because of the differences in volcanic products, structure, fluid and mineralization environment. These deposits composed a metallogenic series, with relativity, distinction and regularity in metallogenic mechanism. In this area, the kaolinite-barite type (silicated rock type) of gold deposits were formed in the early stage of volcanism; while the adularia-sericite type, in the late stage; the porphyry type, in post-volcanism activity.

36 METALLOGENIC CONDITIONS AND PROSPECTING DIRECTION FORIN-SITU LEACHABLE SANDSTONE-TYPE URANIUM DEPOSITS IN THE MESO-CENOZOIC BASINS OF NORTHEAST CHINA
ZHAO Zhong-hua
The Meso-Cenozoic basins in Northeast China are major exploration region for in-situ leachable sancl-ston-type uranium deposits. Since 1996, large amounts of borehole drilling have been performed in the basins during the regional reconnaissance (1:500 000-1:200 000) for prospecting in-situ leachable sandstone-type uranium deposits. The theory and method of regional prognosis criteria for the sandstone-type uranium deposits are adopted to study the metallogenic conditions of Songliao and Hailar basins. The favourable horizons and potential areas are proposed, which provide a foundation for locating the in-situ leachable sandstone-type uranium deposits.

42 THE METALLOGENIC CONDITIONS AND POTENTIAL OF THEUPPER TERTIARY IN-SITU LEACHING SANDSTONE URANIUM DEPOSIT IN SOUTHWESTERN SONGLIAO BASIN
JING Jian-an
The southwest part of Songliao Basin is developed on the Xingan-Mongolian-Ji-Hei Hercynian folded belt, connected to the Mongolian-Daxinganling Hercynian folded belt on the northwest and bounded by the North China platform on the southeast. Applying criteria of geologic prognosis and evaluation for hydrogenic uranium deposit, we studied on the Upper Tertiary stratigraphy, lithofacies, lithology, paleoclimate, geochemical environment, hydrogeologic conditions and the interlayer oxidation zone of the southwestern Songliao Basin. The result shows that the Upper Tertiary interlayer oxidation zone has a positive metallogenic condition for sandstone type of uranium deposits. Therefore the potential areas for uranium prospecting of Shebotu and Kailu are predicted.

48 APPLICATION OF PHASE-STATE STUDY IN GEOCHEMICAL ANOMALY EVALUATION: A case study of evaluation for Majiazi stream sediment anomaly
CHI Yong-kun, ZHANG Ying
The anomaly of stream sediments in Majiazi area is with high strength and sensible concentrated center, but the genetic mechanism of the anomaly has not clearly recognized after a few times of anomaly inspection and investigation. The study on distribution of abnormal elements in oxide-facies, combination-facies and sulfide-facies shows that the Pb and Zn elements are evenly distributed in the rocks. The anomaly is not caused by mineralization.

54 THE CIS-BASED RS MONITORING AND RISK EVALUATING SYSTEM FOR FLOOD HAZARD
ZHAO Xue-lian, CHEN Hua-li
The RS monitoring and risk evaluating system for flood hazard is based on GIS and RS technology. This relatively integrated system comprises flood information receiving and collection, flood simulation and hazard loss. By the integration of database and model-base, the system receives and collects up-to-date information about flood from RS monitoring and routine observation. In application of image processing and information amalgamation, we can rapidly confim the distribution of flood situation spatially and temporally, report the submerged area and estimate economical loss in time, and provide scientific methods to experts for them to manage, decide and command rescue in their disaster-resisting work.

61 A REVIEW ON ADAKITE
SUN Hong-wei, WANG Hai-po, ZHANG Jiong-fei
Adakite was proposed over a decade ago. It is a kind of acid-intermediate and calc-alkaline igneous rock, with the stickup characteristics of SiO2 ≥ 56%, Al2O3 ≥ 15%, relatively depletive HREE and Y(Y ≤ 18×10-6, Yb ≤ 1. 9×10-6), high Sr(> 400×10-6), La/Yb and Sr/Y, as well as positive Sr anomaly but absent or slightly negative Eu anomaly. There are two types of adakites with different petrogenesis:one is formed by the melting of subducting young(≤ 25-30 Ma) slab, and the other is formed by the partially melting of basaltic lower crust under the continental accretion setting. Adakites are important indicators of ore deposits.
