129 THE BASEMENT TECTONICS OF ERGUN MASSIF
SUN Guang-rui, LI Yang-chun, ZHANG Yu
Ergun massif is a typical representative of the Ergun-Mamyn-Jiagedaqi matching massifs. Its basement is composed of Mesoproterozoic greenstone and associated complex, with the tectonic characteristics of earlier crustal evolution. The greenstone belt is a typical volcanic-sedimentary formation formed by metabasic acid volcanic rocks and partly metasedimentary rocks. The bimodal volcanic rocks are mainly tholeiite, which transforms upward into calc-alkali volcanic rock series. The granitoids are of TTG rock series and adamellite-granite assemblage. The lithogeochemical features of all types of rocks in the granite greenstone massif are very much similar to those of the same types in the Archean granite-greenstone belts abroad and in North China platform. All the characteristics of the greenstone basin in the studied area suggest a likely forming environment of back arc rift type of volcanic-sedimentary basin in continental margin.

140 METALLOGENIC CHARACTERISTICS AND ISOTOPIC COMPOSITION OF SAWAYARDUN GOLD DEPOSIT,XINJIANG
ZHENG Ming-hua, LIU jia-jun, ZHANG Shou-ting, LONG Xun-rong
The Sawayardun gold deposit, located in the west of Xinjiang,is one of the most important gold deposits found in China in the recent years. The deposit occurs in the Middle-Upper Carboniferous turbidite sequence, and the mimeralization is restricted to the fracture zones developed in the sequence. With layered or lensoid morphology, the orebodies extend in NE trend, consistent with the extension of the fracture zones. The ore is composed of gold-bearing quartz and quartz-siderite stringer stockwork with disseminated metal sulfides. The gold in the ore is characterized by microtexture and low fineness and associated with pyrite, arsenopyrite, and chalcopyrite. The lead compositions obtained from the ore are as follows:206Pb/204Pb ranging from 18.645 to 18.382;207Pb/204Pb from 15.470 to 15.659;208Pb/204Pb from 38.752 to 38.062.The δ34S values of the metal sulfides analyzed range between +2.61‰ and -1.02‰. The δD values from quartz and siderite vary from -42.5‰ to -72.2‰; the δ18O,from +2.94‰ to -11.57‰;and the δ13Cco2,from -2.35‰ to -10.50‰.The mineralization dates between 167±18 and 98±9 Ma by K Ar method.Based on the characteristics of the isotopic composition,it is suggested that the Sawayardun deposit was developed during the late Yanshan movement, and the host and underlying strata supplied the source for the mineralization. It could formulate a model of circulating meteoric water becoming a heated hydrothermal fluid in the depth, dissolving gold and other metals from the country rocks through which it traversed, and carrying them up to the pressure reduced environment-the fracture zones, where they were precipitated because of the boiling derived from the pressure reduction.

147 THE GENESIS OF THE XINDIAN GOLD DEPOSIT IN LIAONING PROVINCE
SHAO Jun, LI Lan-ying
The Gaixian formation of Liaohe group is composed of terrigenous clastic clayey sedimentary rocks interlayered by acid intermediate volcanic rocks and/or volcanic clastic sedimentary rocks. The siliceous veins are formed by metamorphic defferentiation in the long geologic era.In the process,Au and other mineralizing materials in the metamorphic rocks were firstly activated and then migrated and enriched in the siliceous veins. In Yanshanian epoch, the metamorphic rocks were metasomated and resoluted, and formed porphyroid biotite-granite.The Au and other mineralizing materials were mostly migrated into post-magmatic hydrothermal fluid, and not precipitated until the fluid varied to weak acid and reductive solution. The characteristics of Pb and S isotopes and chondrite-normalized REE pattern prove that the mineralizing materials are from Gaixian formation. The composition of inclusions in quartz and H and O isotopes demonstrate that the mineralizing hydrothermal fluid came from mainly the post magmatic hydrothermal solution. The shearing structures formed by magmatic activities are the migratory channels of the hydrothermal solution and space for the forming of veins or ore-bodies.Xindian gold deposit is a post-magmatic hydrothermal type of gold deposit.

161 GEOCHEMISTRY AND LITHOLOGY OF THE SHIPENGYU SUPER-UNIT IN DASHIQIAO,LIAONING PROVINCE
QU Yong-feng
Shipengyu super-unit,distributed in the north of Dashiqiao,Liaoning Province,is tectonically located in the west part of the Yingkou-kuandian anteclise, adjecent to the Xialiaohe fault depression. The rock is the result of the tectonomagmatic activities of Yanshanian period, with a whole rock Rb-Sr isochron age of 186±13Ma.It has a close genetic relationship with the Fenshui gold ore field and the Jinshanling lead deposit. The chemical component of the super unit rock is characterized by high Si and alkali and low Ca and Mg,to reflect alkaline rock. The content of trace elements also shows the characteristics of alkaline granite, that is rich in Ga,Nb,Ce,Y,Zr,Mo and W and poor in Co,Ni,Cr,V,Sc and Sr.The ΣREE is lower than the average value of the acid rock defined by A.L.Venogradov(1962) and the granite by A.G.Hermann(1970),suggesting typical LREE enrichment type.By chemistry conversion of natural minerals of the granite, the rock of Shipengyu super-unit is proved to be alkali feldspar granite. The main type of the super-unit rock is biotite alkali feldspar granite. The Sr and O isotopic features show that the diagenetic substance of Shipengyu super-unit is formed by the magma, which has been derived from upper mantle and partly melts the substance of lower crust. The rock is formed in the intraplate extensional environment in Early Jurassic or Yanshanian period, genetically belonging to the A-type nonorogenic granite.

173 GIS-BASED SPACLAL GRAPH DATABASE AND ITS APPLICATION IN GEOLOGICAL STUDY
CAI Hong-chun, CHEN Wei-gong, Qi Wei
Geographic information system(GIS) plays an important role in forming and developing spatial databases. The core of GIS is to establish an interactive relationship between the spatial graph database and the attribution database. In the project of creating the 1:200 000 Spatial Graph Database of Liaoning Province, the software platform-MAPGIS,developed by China University of Geosciences-is based on to sort system graph layers, input data and edit graphs. The GIS-based spatial graph database is a basis for geological research. It may provide multi sourced graph layers and spatial information for mineral resources forecasting,as well as for regional geological surveying, assessment of regional minerals and environment, administration of resources and the rights of mining.

178 APPLICATION OF ORE-FORMING SOLUTION ELECTRIC CONDUCTIVITY AND MINERAL PYROELECTRICITY IN EXPLORATION FOR NONFERROUS METAL DEPOSITS: A case study of Xijinuoshan lead-zinc-copper-gold reconnaissance area in Heilongjiang Province
WU Guang, LI Guang-yuan, QUAN Heng
The electric conductivity is a relative ruler to the conductance of ore-forming solution. The value of electric conductivity can directly reflect the concentration value of ore-forming solution.Study on fluid inclusion suggests that the high concentrated areas of ore-forming solution are generally where the main(rich)orebodies occur.By replacing concentrated field with electric conductivity field, and setting up a quantitative relation between electric conductivity parameter and orebodies, the electric conductivity of ore forming solution can be used to reflect the rich or poor levels of orebodies,to distinguish the industrial and non industrial veins,to indicate prospecting areas and so on.Another new method in mineral searching is through the pyroelectricity of metallic and semiconductor minerals. In dissimilar miner alizing conditions and forming sections, the values of mineral pyroelectricity and types of thermal conductivity are different.Mineral pyroelectricity can be used to judge the denuding levels of deposits and to assess the mineralized district. In Xijinuoshan ore field, the new techniques and methods of electric conductivity and mineral pyroelectricity are adopted to locate the best mineralization section. The study results show that the mineralized center is not between the exploration lines 440 and 500 where a lot of workload has been put in.The mineralized center of Xijinuoshan reconnaissance area should be situated from exploration line 500 to the granite porphyty body in the east.

184 THE DELIMITING CRITERIA OF THE CONCENTRATED REGIONS OF GOLD MINERALIZATION
LI Jing-chun, ZHAO Ai-lin, JIN Cheng-zhu
The concentrated regions of gold mineralization,as the basic gold mineralizing units in the crust, are the geochemical provinces of gold element. They are the comprehensive expression of the material fields, energy fields and metallogenic spaces of the crust, reflecting the heterogeneity of gold distribution in the crust. In a concentrated region, accompanied by various geologic events during the geologic history, different types of gold deposits with dissimilar ages have formed.Even for a single deposit, there are multi-stage superimpositions with different genesis. Thus in some regions, gold-deposits display congenesis and inheritance. The gold bearing formations developed in concentrated regions are the important foundation for mineralization. One of the most important matters in identifying and delimiting the concentrated regions of gold mineralization is to study the range and boundary of the region. To achieve that, the distribution of known gold deposits and occurrences should be considered as the direct indicator. The base for delimitation is the range of gold geochemical blocks and auriferous formations. The boundaries of concentrated regions should be the regional tectonic belts or contacts that control the gold formations and the structural magmatic activities closely related to gold metallization.By such criteria, the Beishan concentrated region of mineralization is identified as an example.

188 THE BLACK SHALE SERIES AND ORE DEPOSIT IN QINGCHENGZI,LIAONING PROVINCE
CHEN Jiang
The presenting of black shale series reflects abrupt environmental events, which formed many important ore-hosting rock series. There are high graphite bearing layers in most of the rock associations in Qingchengzi area of Liaoning Province. The high graphite-bearing rocks are regarded as black shale series. The Qingchengzi area, with several medium-large scale gold, silver, lead and zinc deposits ocurred in the ore-bearing rock series,is an important concentrated region for Au-Ag-multimetal mineralization. The forming of the deposits in the area is closely related to Paleoproterozoic volcanic eruptions. The ore-forming rock series should be turbidite origin. The large amount of CO2 released from subaquitic volcanic activities is favorable for the forming of black shale series.Biologic and metamorphic processes have played important roles for the mineralization.During the prospecting in Qinggchengzi area,we should also pay attention to other minerals occurred in the black shale series.
