Abstract:The wind cave in Saima Town, Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province is one of the longest karst caves in Northeast China, with a proved length of 1256 m. The cave is characterized by gentle slope, numerous offsets and diverse morphologies, especially its rarely seen solution landscape of "heaven pot". Lithology, structure and hydrology are the essential conditions for the forming and developing of the cave. Its forming time was around middle Pleistocene of 0.4 Ma.
