1 THE MESO-CENOZOIC ACIDIC-INTERMEDIATE MAGMATISM AND TECTONIC EVOLUTION OF GANDISE MASSIF, TIBET
GE Liang-sheng, DENG Jun, YANG Li-qiang, ZOU Yi-lin, XING Jun-bing, YUAN Shi-song, WU Yu-hai
The Meso-Cenozoic acidic-intermediate magmatism in the Gandise massif would be divided into three belts. The magmatic rocks in the north belt were formed in Yanshanian epoch as Ⅰ-type in early, transitional type in middle and S-type in late stages, respectively under the tectonic background of plate subduction, suture and collision, reflecting the evolution of Bangonghu-Nujiang Tethys in the north. The middle and south magmatic rock belts express the whole evolving course of the Yarlung Zangbo Tethys in the south. The rock bodies in the south belt were formed mainly in Yanshanian, followed by Himalayan epoch. Their origin was closely related to the northward subduction of Tethys oceanic crust in late Yanshanian epoch. The Himalayan magmatism of syn-collision after subduction is evidently recorded in this rock belt. The middle belt contains mainly early Himalayan rock bodies, with minor Yanshanian ones, of which most were the products of syn-collision magmatism. So the magmatites in this rock belt were formed under the condition of syn-collision during the late stage of subduction and after the suturing. Patches of porphyries of late Himalayan epoch broadly occur in the whole Gandise massif, showing the intracontinental extension after the collision and orogeny in the region.

11 THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF YALUJIANG FAULT ZONE AND ITS SINGNIFICANCE
ZHANG Guo-ren, JIANG Shu-e, HAN Xiao-ping, HUANG Zhen-fu, QU Hong-xiang, GUO Wei-jing, WANG Fu-jun
The large-scale Yalujing fault zone, lying in Eastern Liaoning Province, is the secondary fault zone of the Tan-Lu fault zone on its east side, with multiple activities. The movements underwent four stages, namely, left-lateral shearing in Late Indosinian-Early Yanshanian epoch (T3-J1); low angle expanding-slipping and compressive reverse thrust in Middle Yanshanian epoch (J2-3); left-lateral normal strike-slip faulting from Late Yanshanian (K,)to the end of Yanshanian (K2); and right-lateral strike-lateral strike-slip faulting from the end of Yanshanian (K2) to Early Himalayan epoch (N). The fault zone controls the distribution of the magmatic rocks, sedimentary basins and minerals. It also controls the intermediate-basic and acidic-intermediate volcanic rocks of Cretaceous. It is a deep fault that cut the sima. The lift-lateral transposition is up to 20 km, with the greatest vertical on both sides of the fault zone are comparable, which displacement of 4 km. The geological and structural characteristics is significantly important for the research in the region.

20 THE STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS AND CORRELATION OF SEDIMENTARY SECTIONS OF YIXIAN FORMATION IN WESTERN LIAONING PROVINCE
ZHANG Ya-nan, GONG En-pu, LIANG Jun-hong
Arguments have long existed in the analysis and correlation of the sedimentary environment between Jinlingsi-Yangshan and Fuxin-Yixian basins in Western Liaoning Province. The structural analysis of sedimentary sections of Yixian formation in the two basins not only reveals the features of sedimentary facies, but also provides evidences for the correlation of the sedimentary facies. The sedimentary facies of Sihetun area may be divided into alluvial-fluvial, shore-lacustrine, semi-deep and deep lacustrine; while those in Yixian area can be classified into alluvial-fluvial, fluvial, shore-lacuatrine and lacustrine facies. Because of the differences in sedimentary environment, the same sedimentary facies display generality and particularity. The sedimentary facies of Jianshangou bed and lower strata in Sihetun area can be correlated with those of Zhuanchengzi bed and lower strata in Yixian area. The occurrence of variegated polymictic conglomerate sediment, mud cracks, gypsum strata and so on can provide evidences for aridity climate in Western Liaoning.

25 STUDY ON THE MINEROGENIC SERIES IN LIAONING PROVINCE
YANG Zhan-xing, ZHANG Guo-ren, ZHAO Ying, WENG Chang-sheng, LI Chun-kai, ZHANG Shu-chun
Based on the characteristics of structural conditions, magmatism and sedimentation that are related to minerogenesis, the mineral deposits in Liaoning Province are classified into four assemblages of minerogenic series, i.e. magmatism-related assemblage, metamorphism-related assemblage, sedimentation-related assemblage and hot geothermal brine-related assemblage. Further more, 17 minerogenic series are subdivided. The crustal evolution in Liaoning Province has undergone multiple stages, in which the basement was formed in Archeozoic-Paleoproterozoic Era, platform cover was developed in Mesoproterozoic-Middle Triassic, and platform was mobiled of after Middle Triassic. The Nos. 1, 9, 10, 11 and 12 minerogenetic series were formed in the basement-forming stage; the Nos. 2, 4, 14, 15, 16 and 17 in cover development stage; while the Nos. 3, 5, 6, 7and 8 series in the platform mobilization stage. Kinds of alluvial and pluvial placers were formed in Quaternary as No. 13 series.

33 PROSPECTING FOR GOLD DEPOSIT IN PLACER GOLD ENRICHED AREAS IN MOHE, DAXINGANLING REGION
CHEN Man, LIU Tao, XU Lun-xian, LIANG Hai-jun, SONG Bing-jian
Placer gold is rich in Mohe, Daxinganling region, Heilongjiang Province. It is an effective approach to search gold deposit using the information of gold placer, with the study on tectonic features, distribution and concentration of gold placer and regional denudation depth. Analysis on the tectonics and degree of denudation is the key step to locate the targets in placer gold enriched areas. The coefficient of dissolution can indicate the source of placer gold. Isotopes of Pb can reveal the parent rock for mineralization. The correlation study of ore, magmatic rocks, strata and Pb isotopes of basement has become an internationally recognized way to distinguish the origin of Pb isotopes. Using Pb isotopes to trace parent rocks has been successful in the assessment of ores. The characteristic values of Pb isotopes of the region resemble those of the source region. Thus the element can be employed as an indicator for gold deposit prospecting in placer gold enriched area.

42 PETROCHEMISTRY, GEOCHEMISTRY AND GENESIS OF THE META-GABBRO IN TAYUAN, NORTHERN DAXINGANLING
ZHONG Hui, FU Jun-yu
The genesis of the meta-gabbro occurring in Tayuan area is discussed on the basis of petrochemical and geochemical data. The petrochemistry of Tayuan meta-gabbro expresses the characteristics of alkali series of basalt. However, the content of Al2O3 in most rock samples is higher than 16%, indicating the characteristics of high-Al2O3 basalt of calc-alkaline series. In the diagram showing the tectonic environments with inactive element contents, all the samples are dropped in OIA area. The REE and trace element distribution patterns of Tayuan meta-gabbro show enrichment of LREE and incompatible elements, which is similar to the character of basalt in Azores platform as the modern E-type of enriched mantle. The deficiency of Nb and Ta, however, suggests its island-arc background. Analysis on the geology and tectonics in the area shows that Tayuan meta-gabbro was formed in marginal sea, as the deep-member of ocean island, derived from E1-type of mantle source.

48 ANALYSIS ON THE JOINTS OF BAINAIMIAO GOLD DEPOSIT IN INNER MONGOLIA
ZHOU Kun, ZHANG Hong-ying
The Bainaimiao gold deposit in Inner Mongolia occurs in the Cu-bearing greenstone series of Bainaimiao group. Three sets of shear joints with different directions are developed in the rock, i. e. the E-W-trending sectional conjugate shear joints, NE- and NW-trending conjugate shear joints, and NNE-trending sectional conjugate shear joints. There are also some tensional joints and partial joints. The origin and forming order of joints, as well as the relation between joints and the ore-controlling faults are recognized with the analysis on joint sets and the relation between joints and principal stresses.

57 STUDY ON THE ENRICHING REGULARITY OF GEOTHERMAL WATER IN THE MESO-CENOZOIC BASINS IN LIAONING PROVINCE
NI Jin, FENG Li-jie, YAN Bao-qiang, TIAN Lin-hao
Rich geothermal resources are hosted in the Meso-Cenozoic basins in Liaoning Province. The geothermal fields are broadly distributed, with stable thermal reservoir horizons and high geotemperature. The water-rich host rocks contain large geothermal energy resources, with a great exploration potential. The geothermal in the deep of the basins can be divided into four sections, i.e. 1) the shallow buried reservoir at the basement upwarping; 2) the deeply buried reservoir at the block raising; 3) the ultra-deep reservoir at the center of basin; and 4) the transitional section of low-middle temperature disturbed by cold water.

62 GROUND WATER TABLE CHANGING AND CONTROL IN SHENYANG CITY
DU Ji-zhong, ZHAO Jie, XING Shu-wen
The water supply in Shenyang City is mainly depended on groundwater. The groundwater depression was firstly appear in 1960s, and developed to an area of 225.79 km2 by 1989. Thanks to some measures such as the limitation to groundwater discharge, the depression has been reducing since 1990s. However, new problems occurred with the water table rising continuously, even to the extent that some underground buildings were flooded. Thus it is necessary to control the water table on a certain height, so as to utilize the groundwater and protect the environmental resources scientifically.

71 CALCULATION OF COUPLING VALUE OF ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCES BASED ON THE LOSS CREATED BY ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION
FAN Qi, LIU En-ju
Based upon the value theory of environmental resources, the definition, content, and characteristics of environmental resources are introduced. When environmental resources are developed and utilized, both positive and negative values of the resources are created. This paper analyzes the whole value of environmental resources that is a coupling value influenced by its own value, increment value and loss value. The relation between the coupling value and the utility model of environmental resources is also discussed. The authors propose that the model of environmental resources utility can promote economic development only when the couplingvalue is positive.
